The whole world is suffering from the effects of deadly coronavirus, so as Suriname. President Chan Santokhi plans a recovery plan for increasing financial and economic territory in Suriname.

Suriname: The whole world is suffering from the effects of deadly coronavirus, so as Suriname. President Chan Santokhi plans a recovery plan for increasing financial and economic territory in Suriname.
Chan Santokhi stated, “As the new Santokhi / Brunswijk government, we knew that our precious country’s financial-economic situation was not rosy. Still, the reality turned out to be more critical than expected. This crisis prolongs beyond the financial and economic territory and extends to many sectors and institutions in our society.”
President added, “Eventually, as a citizen, you are the victim of what has gone wrong in the past ten years. Therefore, the current government is forced to execute a corrective policy, a policy that will ensure that together we can move towards a beautiful Suriname again. This policy is summarized in this crisis and recovery plan.”
Chan Santokhi will visit India on Republic Day
Chan Santokhi is going to visit Indian as a chief guest on Republic Day. According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the gesticulation and stated that India has an amicable relationship with Suriname.
He added, “More than a hundred years ago, community from India migrated there and made it their homeland. Today, the fourth or fifth generation of Indians is living there.
Today in Suriname, more than one-fourth of the communities and residents are of Indian origin. ‘Sarnami’ one of the common linguistics utilized for communication in Suriname, which is a dialect of Bhojpuri. We, as residents of India, feel very honorable of these cultural friendly-relations,”he added.
Recent news for residents of Suriname
President announced that “I also re-appointed IMF’s goal, IMF’s membership is to rebuild the cash reserve. This allows the central bank’s empty greenhouse to be replenished slowly.”
The government has managed to reschedule debts, and thanks to the negotiations of Suriname and Lazard, they don’t have to pay the interest of 70 million until the end of March 2021!
The government will continue negotiations for the sake of the country and people, and they will continue this until citizens get Suriname out of this crisis.
