Only a single fresh COVID case recorded in St Kitts and Nevis

St Kitts and Nevis: As per the data shared in the COVID-19 update report of the Health Ministry, only one additional infection of COVID virus was recorded on December 7, 2021, taking the total toll of active cases to ten.
While, so far, a total of 2,753 patients have recovered from the contagious mutant and have been discharged from the hospital facilities.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic emerged in the twin-island Federation, it reported 2791 total confirmed cases of the COVID-19, out of which 2325 were recorded in St Kitts and 466 in Nevis island country, the report of the health ministry cites.
In total twenty-eight individuals lost their lives to the deadly COVID mutant to date.
If we look at the statistics of the COVID-19 vaccination, then as of December 7, 2021, St Kitts and Nevis has fully vaccinated its 74.2 percent of the adult population, which counts for 25,122 individuals.
The data of the vaccination report further highlights that around 80.6 percent of the targeted adult population is inoculated atleast with one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in St Kitts and Nevis.
While around 12.4 percent of the eligible children population is now fully vaccinated, and 14.8 percent of children have received their first jabs of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The report also shows a total of 914 booster shots have been administered on the twin-island Federation till December 7, 2021.
In total, 53,386 doses of the COVID-19 vaccines have been administered by the health ministry, out of which 40,650 were administered in St Kitts and 12,736 in Nevis, till now.
Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris led administration has set a target to inoculate 70 percent of its total population.
