Mas Dominik to fill country with joy, calendar released
The Caribbean’s most original carnival, Mas Dominik, The Real Mas is all set to bring the festive feels in Dominica. This will spread all the happiness and magic in the surrounding of Dominica.

Roseau, Dominica: The Caribbean’s most original carnival, Mas Dominik, The Real Mas is all set to bring the festive feels to Dominica. This will spread all the happiness and magic in the surroundings of Dominica.
The calendar for the carnival has also been released by the Dominica Festivals Committee, which has introduced the opening of the Carnival on January 6, 2024. The events planned are from January 6 to February 17, 2024, offering festive vibes for about two months.
Under this, the Jazz in the City Carnival edition was first celebrated on January 2, 2024, as part of the pre-celebration, marking the opening. And as per the calendar has been planned for January 9,16, 23 and 30. For the month of February, it is scheduled for February 6.
Moreover, Stardom Tent as well has been scheduled for different dates on January 6, it will be held as an opening night however on January 10, the Promotion of new song, on January 24, Calypso Tug of War and on January 31, celebrity night will be seen under Stardom Tent.
Taking the same event to the month of February, Clash of the Tents, Monarch of the Tent will be held on February 3 and 7. Further, two of the pageants will also take place as Miss OECS Pageant and Miss Teen Dominica. Miss Dominica Pageant will be held on January 12, February 4 and February 8.
Also, on January 13, three events will take place namely; Ola Mas Festival, Portsmouth Town Carnival, and Calypso Quarter Finals. Further, for January 20, two events have been announced that are Pan in the City and St Joseph Village Carnival.
Probing ahead, many other events as well will be held in the country till February 17, 2024, leading towards escalated tourism. Such events will be directed towards the boost in the economy. The tourism sector has made a major contribution towards the growth and development of the country.
