New Delhi, India: The ten-point Peace Formula – Ukrainian Peace Plan, which offers comprehensive answers to queries of what should be done to end the war in a sustainable and just manner, was discussed on Monday by Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, and Ajit Kumar Doval, the Indian Prime Minister.
The main tenets of the peace agreement include state sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity within internationally acknowledged borders.
Yermak briefed his audience on the front-line situation, emphasising, in particular, the challenging defence of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region.
According to Andriy Yermak, Ukraine wants the broadest support possible for its peace proposal, particularly from nations in the Global South.
“This resolution is essential to us because it restores global respect for the UN Charter and international law. According to the official website of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, “It is very vital to defend the territorial integrity of any state in the world in order to prevent any attempts by one country to take the territory of another one in the future.”
Yermak asserts that Ukraine welcomes all proposals that offer a chance to put an end to the conflict and restore its territorial integrity, but these shouldn’t be partial, short-term fixes like a ceasefire but rather a full withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukrainian land. Otherwise, the state of peace will be shaky, which is unacceptable to Ukraine.
During the night before the UN General Assembly vote, the parties decided to stay in close communication.
