Grenadian Ambassador Justin Sun meets PM Skerrit, discusses economy solutions

Roseau, Dominica: Recently appointed Ambassador of Grenada, H.E Justin Sun, met with Dominican Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit on December 24, 2021. In the meet, both the parties discussed future collaborations on sectors such as trade, energy, and the digital economy solutions. 

Ambassador Sun tweeted, “I very much enjoyed the time spent with Prime Minister Skerrit and his cabinet in Dominica. I greatly appreciate the deeply involved conversations and look forward to our future collaborations on trade, energy, and digital economy solutions“. 

Several key cabinet ministers of PM Skerrit administration were also present at the meet.   

Ambassador Sun is a Chinese tech entrepreneur, the founder of the cryptocurrency platform TRON and the current CEO of Rainberry, Inc. 

He is the founder & CEO of the mobile social app Peiwo, and earlier this month, Sun was appointed as Ambassador by the Grenadian government.  

Apart from this, Ambassador Sun and PM Skerrit laid down several ways to strengthen bilateral ties between the Caribbean nations.   

In his recent statement, Sun cited, “I will dedicate a considerable amount of my energy to promoting blockchain technology & cryptocurrency, as well as the importance of all of this in poor nations and developed ones alike. I will also make an effort to encourage, development of new technologies in Grenada”. 

The 26-year-old entrepreneur is a well-known face in the digital asset sector. 

Sun placed the record-breaking – $4.5 million bid to have a private lunch with Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett in June 2019 prior to cancelling it to widespread surprise. The lunch with Buffett took place in January 2020. 

Earlier this month only, Sun announced he was the – winner of the New Shepard auction with a bid of $28 million to be the first paying passenger to fly on the Blue Origin vehicle. Although, he was not able to fly this mission. He then purchased a full flight of New Shepard and intended to select five other participants.
