St George’s, Grenada: Prime Minister of Grenada – Dickon Mitchell and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development, Joseph Andall had a constructive meeting with the Executive President, Sergio Dias-Granados, and other members of the CAF Development Bank of Latin America, according to the update shared by the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM).
The meeting was held on July 7, 2023 (Friday). As per the official reports, the ministers discussed some essential topics which hold immense importance for the development and growth of Grenada.
“During the meeting, discussions centred on exploring opportunities for Grenada to benefit from the various financial and developmental programmes offered by the bank,” it outlined through the social media update.
Accordingly, potential areas of collaboration were examined, such as renewable energy and the creative industries.
It was also outlined the major objective of the meeting was to provide more strength to the bilateral relationship between the Development Bank and the Caribbean country.
“The aim of the meeting was to further strengthen the relationship between Grenada and CAF Development Bank and to identify areas where the bank’s expertise and financial support can contribute to the socio-economic growth and development of Grenada,” it noted through social media.

Reportedly, earlier, on July 5, 2023, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development Joseph Andall met with Raju Sharma, Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the High Commission of India in Port of Spain on the side-lines of the 45th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM in Trinidad and Tobago this week.
As per the update shared by the Office of the Prime Minister of Grenada, in the main, discussions centred on enhancing collaboration in key areas of strategic importance, including bolstering support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), fostering skills development, and facilitating short-term training courses, among other topics.
