PM Skerrit visited the Flower Show site in Giraudel on April 20, 2022 (Thursday). Preparations are going on as the flower show will return in October 2022.

                                                    Dominica: Prime Minister – Dr Roosevelt Skerrit visited the Flower Show site in Giraudel on April 20, 2022 (Thursday). Preparations are going on as the flower show will return in October 2022.
Prime Minister Skerrit was accompanied by Parliamentary Representative for Roseau South, Chekira Lockhart Hypolite.
Prime Minister Skerrit has pledged Government’s support in not only making the Flower Show a success but is also developing the site to create year-round economic activity.
Earlier, Giraudel-Eggleston Annual Flower was held in the year 2016, and this year, it will be resumed after almost five years of break.
A special fair will be hosted in reception after the market is opened on May 27, 2022. After the opening, local creoles brunches would be hosted on May 28, and a special garden tea party would be organised on May 29.
The flower market has spread over more than 2.6 acres of land. The market has become a permanent site for “Flower Show or Market Fair”. It is a colourful place consisting of an exquisite garden and a botanic centre. Not only this, Dominica is the centre of several other natural products.
The Giraudel flower market is one of the famous tourist destinations, where hundreds of tourists like to visit due to its enchanting beauty and different types of flowers contributing to the overall atmosphere.
