St Lucia: As of February 7, 2022, Monday, the nation reported new 44 cases of COVID-19, according to the statics shared by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs. The samples were collected between February 4 and February 6; of total samples, around 24.44 percent have tested positive for the virus.
Around 180 samples were collected on the previous day (Sunday); of these, 150 were from the Ezra Long Laboratory, remaining 30 were from the Laboratory Services and Consultations Limited. The total number of tests done in the nation are 129,267.
Since the pandemic began, the nation has reported around 21, 735 COVID-19 cases.
According to the official data, around 412 people have been recovered from the virus and were discharged.
To date, the number of active cases in the country is at 2, 449.
There are around 64 patients admitted to the hospital because of the virus; of these, one is seeking the treatment in intensive care. Approximately 2,449 people have been under self-isolation.
Till now, the number of deaths reported in the nation is around 341.
In St Lucia, as many as 51, 519 people have been fully vaccinated and around 5, 900 are partially vaccinated. More than 6,410 people have received the booster shot.

From February 8, Tuesday, the Vaccination drive will commence at the Gros-Islet HR Centre, Vieux-Fort RC Parish Hall, the People’s Discount (Victoria Street), and La Ressource Constituency Council. The timing of the vaccination drive has been from 9 am to 4 pm.
