Barbados government has extended the curfew from 9 October till 24 October 2021 between the hours of 9 pm to 5 am in order to curb the spread of the contagious COVID-19 virus.

Barbados: Barbados government has extended the curfew from 9 October till 24 October 2021 between the hours of 9 pm to 5 am in order to curb the spread of the contagious COVID-19 virus.
This decision has been taken amid the rise in the novel coronavirus infections and deaths in the island country.
No individual is permitted to leave their residence during hours the curfew would remain effective, rather than the individual who would be giving service as an employee or member of a necessary service.
The person who will have any medical emergency and in any other case are allowed to go to their decided place during curfew hours.
Each employee or member of an essential service must carry the evidence of their employment or membership of such a service. Individuals who would be caught while giving false or misleading information to a member of the Police Force, the Defence Force any team under the COVID-19 Protocol Monitoring Unit.
The new COVID-19 measures state that the nightclubs will remain closed for gatherings, and restaurants commonly called fast-food restaurants have been prohibited from providing in-house dining; instead, they could provide pick-up, drive-through and can give delivery services.
No individual shall consume food or drink inside a bar or a rum shop but may consume such items outdoors. While the Gyms, dance and exercise studios shall only operate in accordance with protocols that have been issued by the government.
The operators of businesses & establishments may allow their staff to
work remotely where the operations can continue effectively if the staff work remotely.
According to the new protocols, the Police officials can enter any business, establishment or organization at any time during its hours of operation in order to make sure that the business, establishment or organization are abiding by the COVID-19 protocols.
The individuals are also being advised to follow the measures and take their jabs of the COVID-19 vaccine.
