The Hotels and Tourism Association of Antigua and Barbuda announced the launch of the Season 2 of Unveiling Hospitality Professionals Series, starting from Wednesday, 25th September, 2024. This series shines a spotlight on the essential roles that the professionals of the hospitality sector play in enhancing the reputation of the country as a world-class destination.
This initiative has been undertaken by the Antigua & Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association in order to highlight the extraordinary talent in the hospitality sector, from hotel managers, marketing and rooms division managers to cruise ship personnel, taxi drivers, and vendors.
This series will be held over the next 11 weeks, starting from 25th September and every other Wednesdays. The ABHTA stated that this year, as well, the series will showcase the inspiring stories of those who are the backbone of the hospitality industry of Antigua and Barbuda.
Moreover, the Antigua & Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association also claimed a award last year in Caribbean Hospitality Industry Exchange Forum (CHIEF) in Miami. They claimed the top prize in the People Development and Support category for its Unveiling Hospitality Professionals Series.
While shedding light on this series, the Executive Director of ABHTA, Patrice Simon stated that this series is a great initiative undertaken by them in order to recognize the exceptional contributions made by the individuals for the development of the hospitality sector of Antigua and Barbuda.
Patrice Simon also stated that preparing Unveiling Hospitality Professionals Series was indeed a labour of love for the team. He stated that they have met so many exciting individuals with a depth of knowledge and love for the industry. And, this series provides a much-needed recognition for their years of service.
He stated that they are hoping that this series will continue to inspire the next generation of hospitality and professionals.
The Chairman of ABHTA, Craig Marshall also asserted that they are committed to recounting these stories and exploring new and innovative ways with a vision to celebrate the people of their nation and their contribution.
