4.9% individuals receives booster shots in St Kitts and Nevis
The Ministry of Health and Wellness released a COVID-19 update report, according to which a total of 4.9 percent eligible population of St Kitts and Nevis population has taken its booster shots.

Basseterre: The Ministry of Health and Wellness released a COVID-19 update report, according to which a total of 4.9 percent eligible population of St Kitts and Nevis population has taken its booster shots as of December 28, 2021.
The data further added that till December 28, 2021, around 81.3 % of its adult population is immunised by taking atleast one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
On the other hand, around 75.5% got their required jabs of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccine and are now fully immunised.
The data in the health ministry’s report further highlights that about 16% of children are partially vaccinated by taking their first jab, whereas 13.8% of children are fully inoculated by acquiring their second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The COVID-19 vaccination report further reveals that a total of 54,868 doses have been administered on the twin-island Federation.
Out of this, a total of 41,745 jabs of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered by the healthcare officials of the St Kitts island, while in total, 13,123 jabs have been administered on Nevis island so far.
A total of 1,634 booster shots have been administered in St Kitts and Nevis as of December 28, 2021.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic emerged in St Kitts and Nevis, it reported 2877 total confirmed cases of the COVID-19, out of which 2397 were recorded in St Kitts and 480 in Nevis island country, the report of the health ministry cites.
A total of 28 individuals lost their lives to the deadliest mutant till December 28, 2021.
The SKN government has set the target to fully inoculate 70 percent of the population.
