This loss is not just Jamaica’s it is the Caribbean’s: PM Holness

Jamaica: The beginning of 2021 is not that fortunate what people of Jamaica have thought of. Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness mourns on the passing of Honourable Gordon’ Butch’ Stewart OJ, CD, Hon. LLD.

PM Holness announced this sad news from his official account of Facebook. He wrote,”It is with a deep melancholy that I learnt of the passing of one of Jamaica’s most brilliant, innovative and transformative business minds, the Honourable Gordon (Butch) Stewart OJ, CD, Hon. LLD.”

Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness stated, “Butch was a man way ahead of his time. He had an eye for details. His ability to market and deliver world-class service in any endeavour was remarkably distinctive. He was an extraordinary human being with an unwavering commitment to the social good. He has left his unmistakable mark across the region and the world, and we shall miss him dearly.”

“I send heartfelt condolences to his loved ones, friends, and the thousands of employees whose lives he doubts personally impacted. This loss is not just Jamaica’s it is the Caribbean’s,” he added.

People’s Reaction:

People are in shock because of this sudden death. They expressed their melancholy via social media. Tanya Swann wrote, “Am in total shock, and he was a Giant of a man in all aspects of life, kind, generous and a man with a vision and so much love for his family and his people, may his soul rest in peace.”

Another user on Facebook wrote, “Gone but never forgotten honourable Butch Stewart was an astute businessman and entrepreneur by heart who had champion the hearts of many Jamaicans by delivering service at ATL in the tourism industry. Thanks for delivering world-class service to the Jamaican people. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. May his soul RIP.”

Delano R Dawkins wrote, “Sadness is the start nor the end, he was a true icon and will be missed. Jamaica owes a great debt of gratitude, for walk good sir.”
