St Lucia observers rise in recovery rate of individuals from COVID-19

St Lucia: Ministry of Health and Wellness reported confirmation of 7 new cases of COVID-19 and recoveries of 70 individuals.

Recently, the recovery latitude has been increased in the nation. Earlier, there were 141 recoveries from COVID-19.

Yesterday, Monday, February 22, 2021, the Ministry of Health and Wellness got confirmation of 7 new cases of coronavirus from the Ezra Long Laboratory. 

These outcomes are from a batch of 91 samples taken on February 16, February 19, and February 20, 2021. These samples were concocted on February 20, 2021.

On Monday, confirmation was also received of the recovery of 70 people diagnosed with COVID-19. This brings the total number of active coronavirus cases currently reported in the country to date to 365. 

Two of the active coronavirus cases presently require critical care at the Respiratory Hospital. All of the seven COVID-19 cases were seen at various community respiratory clinics, where they were assessed and tested for coronavirus. 

They were each placed in home isolation by healthcare practitioners while anticipating the return of their test results. Arrangements have been made for the placement of these people into isolation. 

The contact tracing for these new COVID-19 cases is underway. The new cases bring the total number of these cases diagnosed in the nation to date to 3142.

It is essential to be mindful of continuing to behave in ways that decrease our exposure to the coronavirus. We need to continue practicing the epidemic prevention and control guidelines of hand hygiene, using a face mask in public covering the mouth, nose, and chin, maintaining a distance from others, and using a bleach solution to sanitize frequently touched surfaces frequently handled objects. 

On the other hand, on February 21, 2021, the Ministry of Health and Wellness got confirmation from the Ezra Long Laboratory of the diagnosis of 57 new coronavirus cases. These outcomes are from a batch of 268 samples taken during the period of February 1 to February 17, 2021.
