New Zealand: The increasing cases of corona in India have put other countries in tension as well. New Zealand has temporarily suspended the entry of people coming from India because of the horrendous outbreak of Coronavirus cases.
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern temporarily banned all passengers arriving from India from 11 to April 28. Apart from this, Ardern has also prohibited the return of citizens of his country from India for the time being. This decision was made on MIQ.
According to the information, Cases in New Zealand’s regulated isolation and quarantine (MIQ) amenities have grown from two or three a day to four to five a day for the seven-day rolling average.
Astonishingly a journalist declared a statement on the PM’s announcement. Senior Political Reporter Marc Daalder stated, “Contrary to what one might think from today’s declaration, this is not the first surge of this scale that we’ve had in MIQ. According to local media, out of 23 new coronavirus cases found in New Zealand, 17 came from India, after which this decision has been taken. This ban will start on Sunday (April 11) and will remain in force until April 28. So far, 2,531 cases of Coronavirus have been reported in the country.
New Zealand Prime Minister -Jacinda Ardern said that the government keeps an eye on people coming from other Covid-19 hot spot countries. He said that this is not a permanent arrangement but a temporary measure. Which will help reduce the cases of the corona.
On the other hand, there is a sudden increase in new cases of the corona epidemic in India. So far, 1.28 crore cases have been reported in the country. The country’s active cases have reached over 8,43,000, and the daily positivity rate is steadily increasing. Because of the increasing cases, Indian PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet with all the states’ Chief Ministers on Thursday.
The World Health Organisation global reporting shows that in just the last month cases of the virus have been on the rise again internationally after falling steadily over January and February, with surges in cases particularly in Brazil and India.
