Reconstruction of the DGS is top priority: PM Skerrit

Dominica: PM Roosevelt Skerrit and the government of Dominica aims to reconstruct the Dominica Grammer School (DGS).
Education has the ability to change the future of the nation. Refurbishment of Dominica Grammer School (DGS) in the country is the first step to reviving every child’s dreams.
PM Roosevelt Skerrit stated, “I and three other members of Cabinet attended a PTA meeting at the Dominica Grammer School (DGS).”
Furthermore, he added, The DGS has contributed immensely to our country, and I do not doubt that it will continue to do so in the foreseeable future.
PM Roosevelt Skerrit declared, “It is our intention to keep the Government’s feet to the fire in respect to the commitments that were made to the rebuilding of the DGS. In light of this, we have took the decision to fast-track the reconstruction of the DGS and make it a top priority.”
Merlyn Jno Baptiste commented, “Great work Hon PM. Education is the key to a country’s development and the citizen’s “upward mobility.” You are on the right track. Keep the momentum.”
Besides, in the weekly show Annou Pale, Edward Registe declared that the administration invested three million in the refurbishment of Grand Primary School, which was built 50 years ago.
That school needs paramount renovation as the pillars were destroyed because of natural calamities and time.
Moreover, this school will not only be limited to the kinder wing or students until the sixth, but the regime is to add adults in this school too for better institutional opportunities.
Dominica is to launch several schemes and as well as projects that can enhance the development of the country. On the other hand, Dominica is to initiate a Geo-thermal plant will be the first project related to sustainable energy in the CARICOM. As it is very expensive and challenging to build with high authorities.
Consequently, this project will reduce the costs and bills of electricity and aid in saving money spent by these current generators (which will be half the consumers are using now). To strengthen Dominica’s economy, the geo-thermal plant will be the most advantageous project for the nation.
