Pujya Sri Swamiji participates in Sri Chakra Puja in Trinidad and Tobago

Trinidad and Tobago: Pujya Sri Swamiji in Sri Dattatreya Yoga Centre, Trinidad and Tobago shared an update about Sri Chakra Puja. As per the update by the official page, Pujya Sri Swamiji offered Purnahuti to Maha Ganapathy Homa and performed Sri Chakra Puja in the morning.

Following the morning Puja, Sri Swamiji gave the Ashivachana discourse, blessing the devotees gathered. Later the devotees came in the queue and had Darshana of Pujya Swamiji.

In the evening, the 80th birthday celebrations and the farewell program were held in a grand local style. The program opened with dances to Sri Swamiji’s bhajans, Namo Namo Ganapataye and Jaya Jaya Vindhyavasini.

Dattatreya Trimurti Rupa bhajan was played on the steel pan accompanied by flute and violin. The lively Trinidadian style Divya Nama Sankirtana in praise of Pujya Swamiji was sung heartily along with Shivaya Rudraya Namah chant, which was sung in chorus style.

Trinidadian soca music song Om Shanti Om was presented by the daughter of the inventor of Soca music Sri Ras Shorty I. Sri Ambi Subramanium enthralled the audience with his offering of violin seva and Sri Ashok Yankeran sang local style Bhajans. Cake cutting was done along with trustees and vice president Sri Vishnu Deonarine and Sri Swamiji ascended the swing for Dolotsava and Arati.

On 10 April, devotees gathered early to bid farewell to Sri Swamiji, who departed to Sri Karyasiddhi Hanuman Temple in Dallas in the morning.

After having to wait five years to see Pujya Swamiji on Trinidadian soil, Trinidad was blessed with the divine presence of Pujya Swamiji and Sri Bala Swamiji for 20th Anniversary Celebrations, including Sri Rama Navami Festival, Maha Rudra Yaga conducted for the first time ever in Trinidad, Hanuman Jayanti celebrations, visits to Aripo, Princes Town and Penal Ashramas, Sampoorna Bhagawad Gita Parayana and 80th Birthday celebrations of Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji, Jaya Guru Datta, Shivaya Rudraya Namaha.
