Princess Beatrix to reopen Princess Juliana International Airport terminal
Princess Juliana International Airport is all set to officially re-open.

Princess Beatrix, Queen of the Netherlands, is all set to mark its visit to Sint Maarten for the reopening ceremony of the Princess Juliana International Airport terminal on 14th November 2024.
Notably, the airport has undergone several major renovations after the disastrous damage caused by Hurricane Irma in 2017. Finally, after the period of seven years, the newly renovated terminal of Princess Juliana International Airport is all set to officially open.
As per the details, the reopening ceremony of the terminal will feature a plaque unveiling by the Princess Beatrix. It will be followed by a guided tour of the modernized facilities installed in the newly renovated space, showcasing the renovations made in the airport terminal.
During her tour to Sint Maarten, Princess Beatrix will also exchange significant dialogues with the dedicated individuals who made several efforts and worked tirelessly in order to restore the terminal to its former glory.
While shedding light on the ceremony, the authorities of Princess Juliana International Airport- Sint Maarten stated that they are looking forward to showcase the resilience and the progress registered by the airport.
They added that they are aiming to grow and welcome the world back to the shores of the island nation. The authorities also mentioned about the renovated terminal and stated that it would play a huge role in handling both international and regional flights, providing a comfortable travel experience to all the passengers.
The authorities of the airport added that this terminal has been renovated with a vision to offer the passengers and crew members with plethora of experiences. They added that it has been designed with modern conveniences which includes, spacious check-in areas, comfortable seating, and easy navigation.
This ceremony will also be attended by the Prime Minister of Sint Maarten, Dr. Luc Mercelina, State Secretary for Kingdom Relations and Digitalization, Zsolt Szabó, and many other delegates to celebrate the milestone of the reopening of Princess Juliana International Airport terminal.
The Minister of Tourism of Sint Maarten, Grisha Heyliger-Marten stated that this renovation of the project would play a huge role in making the airport, a hub for all the passengers, enhancing the overall experiences of all the passengers.
