St Lucia: Prime Minister of St Lucia; Allen M Chastanet appeals to the citizens of the nation to rise and beat the lethal coronavirus.
We all know that how the opposition is accusing the current government of not managing the amid situation systematically. This accusation has somehow convinced the people of St Lucia.
People doubt the management of government. Not even this, people are not following the new protocols approved by the government.
Witnessing the anger of citizens, PM Chastanet posted a video explaining the amid situation and appealing to the citizens for giving a tough fight to this COVID-19.
He stated, “We have only one enemy that is covid-19, we all know someone who is suffered from this deadly virus.We have to come out from this situation together.”
The government of St Lucia will continue to take those tough decisions. Furthermore, he added that St Lucia is in the red zone. People of the nation have to restrict their actions and follow the respective protocols.
PM Chastanet stated, “we all have to rise and beat this enemy. If we fight together, we can fight this out. we can’t shut down the country entirely, but we can restrict our actions.”
He emphasized, “I am aware of rumors circulating regarding a shutdown and I just want reiterate to all Saint Lucians that the power to manage COVID-19 is in our hands. Let’s Let’s stop spreading rumors and fight this battle together.”
St Lucia resident commented, “You guys are just a set of hard-headed people. Think positive and adhere to the protocols. Only in St. Lucia, government is being blamed. Bunch of illiterates. Cover your stinky mouths and smell you’ll own breath. Wait Chastenet will bring money for you’ll.”
On the other hand, a resident commented, “Sir, while I can agree with you we must follow the Protocols and, we are everyone’s keeper you must understand that community spread is rampant and in order to curb this virus you need to close the borders for a few weeks to bring these numbers. Our lives matter. Our health matters. The hotel worker, the Front Liners, all matters. Closing for a few weeks will not kills us but help to improve the health of St. Lucians. Do the right thing and protect our people. This decision of yours is not helping at all.”
