Dominica: Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit, over 5,924 persons received Oxford-Astra Zeneca vaccine in Dominica.
The Ministry of Health and wellness stated that the vaccination drive healed a lot, Although there were no death rates seen in the nation. Yet taking precautions by continuing vaccination drive is going to prove as a boon in the future.
Dominica not only vaccinated their population but helped other Caribbean sisters to take advantage of a generous gift from the government of India. Dominica received Oxford-Astra Zeneca vaccines from India in donation due to the excellent relations of PM Skerrit and PM of India.
Moreover, PM Skerrit took his first dose of the Oxford-Astra Zeneca vaccine in his office on February 23rd, 2021, at Roseau. The second dose of the Oxford-Astra Zeneca vaccine is expected to inoculate in the month of April.
On February 22nd, Dominica inaugurated its COVID-19 vaccination drive for the general citizens of the nation, which would immunize the vulnerable. The Oxford-Astra Zeneca vaccine drive was launched in all seven health districts of the government.
According to resources, People must need proper shots of vaccines to survive this global pandemic. This project will reduce the costs of electricity and help in saving money utilized by these current generators (which will be half the users are using now). To flourish Dominica’s economy, the geo-thermal plant will be the most propitious project for the nation.
