It is a significant development for Vance W. Amory International Airport of Nevis as it welcomed eight aircrafts from several regional airlines on Thursday, 22nd August 2024. The authorities marked it as the “busiest day” and stated that the day shed light on the growing importance of the country in the Caribbean region.
The airport welcomed a number off charter flights from Anguilla that were going back and forth in preparation for the Culturama games in Nevis. The flights that were landed at the Vance W. Amory International Airport include, two BN2 Islands, out of which one was operated by Trans Anguilla Airways and Anguilla Air Services.
Both the airlines, Trans Anguilla Airways and Anguilla Air Services, brought other aircrafts as well to the island nation. The aircrafts that landed at the airport were Cessna 402 and Trislander, respectively.
Cape Air also brought in their aircraft, Cessna 402, to the Nevis Vance W. Amory International Airport and made a smooth landing. Following that, Air Cargo also brought in their two aircrafts, Cessna Caravan and Short 360, to the Nevis Airport. WinAir’s aircraft, Twin Otter, was also welcomed by the airport officials.
The arrival of these aircrafts to the Nevis shed light on the commitment of the airport to enhance their ties with other Caribbean nations and beyond. The airport officials stated that these arrivals are a testament to the unwavering commitment and dedication of every member towards elevating the tourism sector of Nevis to greater heights.
Notably, the Vance W. Amory International Airport is the only airport on the island of Nevis. The airport promises to cater to the travelling comfort of the high-end corporate traveller making their way to and from the nation via their business jets.
