Grenada inaugurates new play park to foster healthy community relationships
Prime Minister of Grenada, Dickon Mitchell, stated that this project is part of a broader effort by the Government of Grenada.

Grenada marked the official opening ceremony of the play park, aiming to create a space for citizens to enjoy and build healthy and stable relations with the people of communities. This park was inaugurated at the La Sagesse playing field on Friday, 25th October 2024.
As per the details, this park features several play equipment which includes swings, slides, and climbing structures. These features have been designed with a vision to provide a safe, vibrant, and welcoming environment for both children and families in the parish of St. David.
Notably, all the play equipments installed at the park are built at the Caribbean Welding in Woodlands, St. George in order to provide a safe and enjoyable ride to all the citizens.
The park also features seating areas aiming to provide a comforting place for parents and guardians to enjoy while watching their children play.

Moreover, the Prime Minister of Grenada, Dickon Mitchell, stated that this project is part of a broader effort by the Government of Grenada.
He added that this park would play a significant role in enhancing community spaces and encouraging family-friendly outdoor activities. The Prime Minister added that this place would enhance the overall experience and foster entertainment for all the citizens.
The Prime Minister added that this park would create an opportunity for children and families to play, explore, and socialize, building healthier relations with the fellow citizens of the community.
As per the details, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and Ambassador Wei Hongtian sponsored over $100 US to Grenada for the construction of this park in Grenada. The Prime Minister added that this help from China would play a huge role in strengthening their relationship and aiming to build more parks in the island nation.
The Prime Minister noted that they are also aiming to construct parks at the following areas including, Marlmount Playing Field, Marlmount Big Yard, Belle Vue and Berrotte, St. David, and later, other parts of Grenada.
PM Dickon Mitchell noted that these parks would play a huge role in enhancing the overall development of the children and gaining exposure to nature for all the families.
