Dominica: Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit, announced that the government of the nation is all set to launch the most extensive vaccination campaign.
Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit, wrote, “Our nation is ready to launch the largest vaccination campaign in modern history as we have received 70,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine from India.”
Furthermore, PM Skerrit added, The vaccine has been placed under the custody of Central Medical Stores, and from today morning, we will advance our public awareness campaign to include the registration of persons interested in receiving vaccines.
Additionally, A pre-registration drive will take place at the various health districts from the 22nd of February 2021. The government of Dominica will begin vaccinating our Frontline Workers, Senior Citizens, Members of the Cabinet and Parliament.
According to Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit, all systems have been put in place by the Ministry of Health to guarantee that every recipient will be diligently monitored throughout the vaccination process.
According to Oxford University reports, the AstraZeneca vaccine’s first dose kicks in after three weeks and lasts right through to the second dose at the three-month mark.
Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit, promises that Dominica will soon be empowered to achieve a crucial objective to stamp out the impact of the various strains of COVID-19.
Replying to the Prime Minister’s post, Christabel JnoBaptiste commented, “Awesome! Take a bow and to the health workers thank you for safeguarding our Nation relentlessly.”
On the other hand, the government of Dominica possesses the COVID-19 vaccine to immunize 50% population in just 60 days.
In the recent announcement, Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit, stated,” the Ministry has advised him of health that vaccination would be a start from 22 Feb 2021, frontline workers would be first in the priorities for the vaccination.”
