St Lucia: Several people got injuries resulting from a crash between a minibus and a car at La Caye, Dennery, on Friday.

Emergency responders revealed that two victims required immediate transportation to the hospital. Emergency officials disclosed that ten persons, together with the driver, were on board the minibus.
Furthermore, Emergency responders added a young woman was caught in the car. The emergency personnel carried her in an ambulance to the OKEU hospital.
Emergency responders also transported the car driver, who was severely injured to the face.

A St Lucia Fire Service official at the scene said the Dennery Fire station initially responded. But he explained that Dennery asked backup from fire service headquarters in Castries and the Micoud fire station.
The report says the accident occurred at about 3.00 pm at the Bousquet D’Or Bridge. There are no prior details at this time.
People on social media, expressing their opinion about this crash, a resident wrote, “Hope all parties involved recover. As long as these drivers are not penalized accordingly, these road accidents will persist.”
Another user commented, “Careless driving by the car owner, cause several other people to be at the hospital… I can’t understand why don’t we drive to save our lives and the lives of others.”
On the other hand, a resident accused, “St. Lucia holds a record for reckless driving. It’s high time careless drivers face lengthy jail sentences.”
Another Dennery resident told, “Let us hope there are no deaths and that the bus was carrying the number of passengers as per the COVID 19 protocol.”
On the other hand, a citizen stated, “my point is we need more traffic police, more straight roads, wider lanes, marked roads, less mountainous roads, therefore maintaining order in traffic island-wide.”
Another citizen said, “Somehow keep our eyes on the road, stop speeding and overtaking, and stay on our side just like you learned it in driving school. That’s simple.”
