Bahamas: Prime Minister Of Bahamas inaugurates London Creek Bridge in Andros to revive aquatic life.

According to the information bureau, Today, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Most Hon. Dr. Hubert Minnis ceremoniously opened the London Creek Bridge, considering a significant part of the effort to revive natural creek systems across the island.
What is London Creek?
London Creek is one of a representation of natural creek ecosystems in Andros, which have become obstructed due to the construction of roads across the creeks.

Such blockages cause severe damage the natural aquatic ecosystem, including prolonged sedimentation in the creeks, alteration of the mangroves, and a reduction in the lagoon’s fish larvae export.
London Creek and Stainiard Creek are among the most rigorously impacted creeks. Work is currently underway on the Stainiard Creek bridge.
Why is this an important project?
On 22 January 2021, Prime Minister Minnis, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Works Hon. Desmond Bannister stated, “The London Creek project is essential for the surrounding area as it will help to regenerate the natural flora and fauna of the creek regularity,” at the official opening ceremony.
Furthermore, he added, “This will provide a catalyst for eco-tourism in Andros by offering citizens and visitants with the possibility to have up-close expertise of the beauty of the natural creek ecosystems in Andros.
This project can revive the aquatic life, which was drastically declined by the blockage and other obstructions.
A Facebook user commented, “Fantastic! Prime Minister is a dynamic leader. All the best! The Bahamas is my dream country. The Bahamas.”
Another resident commented, “We here in GRAND BAHAMA would like some ground broke on some MEANINGFUL project here.”
The Ministry of Finance recently released a press that promotes the Commercial Entities process (Substance Requirements) Act 2018 (CESRA). It also elevates its outreach and stakeholder education to help businesses avoid late penalties.
