The Tourism Authority of St Vincent and the Grenadines announces Annette Mark as the new Chief Executive Officer. With her election as a new CEO, she aims to make constant efforts for the development of the tourism sector and making St Vincent and Grenadines, a premier destination among all the travellers.
Mark Annette called St Vincent and the Grenadines, the gem of the Caribbean. She stated that the island nation stands out differently because they offer two distinct experiences and offers plethora of experiences to all its travellers.
While shedding light on its offerings, she stated that St Vincent is rich with mountains, flora, fauna and black sand beaches. On the other hand, Grenadines has the boast coral reefs and stunning white sand beaches in the world, which aims to enhance the overall experience of all the tourists.
The newly appointed CEO, Annette Mark added that addressing the damages caused by Hurricane Beryl would remain her top-most priority. She stated that she would make all her efforts in order to address affected accommodations with a vision to attract more visitors to the country and improve their experience.
She also talked about Marketing and stated that they are aiming to enhance their marketing efforts to set a benchmark among the other Caribbean tourism authorities. Following that, Mark emphasised on implementing the most effective elements to focus on data collection and analysis in order to enhance their strategies made by them for marketing purpose.
Moreover, before her election as the new CEO of the Tourism Authority of St Vincent and the Grenadines, Mark served her duties as the executive director of Invest SVG, where she was held responsible for attracting foreign direct investment. She has also worked as legal counsel with the Office of Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy and chief of immigration for Antigua and Barbuda.
Annette Mark also shed light on the recent opening of Sandals Resort in St Vincent and the Grenadines. She stated that it has played a huge role in boosting the tourism sector and air confidence. She also shed light on witnessing the positive trends from Canada and stated that it is the first year since COVID-19 that they have welcomed consistent year-round flights.
Mark also focused on introducing new festivals and events to attract an increased number of travellers to the country. “I’m thinking about a week-long celebration of music, food, and fashion,” noted Annette Mark.
The entire Tourism Authority of St Vincent and the Grenadines is optimistic that under Annette Mark’s guidance, the tourism sector of the country will elevate into greater heights.
