Barbados: After COVID-19 vaccination jab, Barbados observed a sudden peak in the recovery rate from lethal coronavirus.
According to the reports, Nineteen persons were recognized as COVID-19 positive on Sunday, February 21, while 65 redeemed from the viral ailment.
The new coronavirus positives were among the 310 tests held by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.
The 19 new coronavirus cases involved nine women and ten men. One of them had already been at the Harrison Point Isolation Facility undergoing evaluation to determine whether their positive PCR test outcome showed that they were, in fact, newly coronavirus positive or whether they had coronavirus in the past and were no longer contagious.
The other 18 coronavirus cases were Barbadians. Barbados has reported 2,791 confirmed COVID-19 cases – 1,281 females and 1,510 males – and 2,035 persons have redeemed. There have been 31 deaths from the viral ailment. The public health laboratory has so far finished 121,121 tests.
There were 706 persons immunized on Sunday as part of the National Vaccination Programme for coronavirus. Till now, a total of 16,544 vaccinations have been conducted – 7,283 men and 9,261 females.
Barbados government information service stated, Operations ran smoothly at the immunization center set up at the Globe Drive-In, as scores of seniors arrived to receive their coronavirus vaccinations. Once the vaccination of high-risk individuals is completed, efforts will then focus on the rest of the general community.
On 20 February, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley stated, “So far, almost 12,000 individuals in Barbados have been vaccinated to protect against COVID-19, with almost 3,000 vaccinated today. And govt of Barbados shall continue with vaccinations over the weekend by appointment only. #over70 #COVID19 #barbados.”
After vaccination, it is observed that the recovery rate has been increased, which is the ray of hope for all citizens of Barbados. People are hoping this increase in recovery latitude will continue to increment that will help the nation to defeat the country.
