6.4 magnitude earthquake hit central Croatia on Tuesday. It caused so much damage to the place by demolishing several buildings and homes. Seven people died on the spot, and rescuers are searching for people.

Central Croatia: 6.4 magnitude earthquake hit central Croatia on Tuesday. It caused so much damage to the place by demolishing several buildings and homes. Seven people died on the spot, and rescuers are searching for people.

A girl was killed in the earthquake while a man and a young boy were retrieved from a car embedded in debris. Initial reports of European Mediterranean Seismological Center were measured as 6.4 on the Richter Scale and hit 46 kilometres (28 miles) southeast of Zagreb.

This natural disaster not only killed people but killed the dreams of all, their dream houses and city. The quake was apprehended in the Croatian capital Zagreb, bordering Bosnia and Serbia, and as distant as Italy. Croatian media confirmed that one woman was pulled alive from the town hall’s rubble in Petrinja on Tuesday.

The Mayor of Petrinja Darinko Dumbovic said, “We are pulling people from the cars, we don’t know if we have dead or injured.” Europe Office of International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) tweeted about the exact situation. The Croatian Red Cross has been working through the night to distributed aid to people hit by yesterday’s earthquake. Croatian Red Cross crisis teams are on the ground in Petrinja assisting with abandonment and providing first aid for injured people. The town was hit by a 6.4 measurement earthquake at 12:19 pm today, the strongest in Croatia in more than 140 years.

Recently countries like Japan and India also suffered a natural disaster. This year has been the worst. Several crime rates and COVID-19 pandemic made it worse.
