Basseterre: The citizens of St Kitts and Nevis are getting immunized by the vaccination drives arranged by the government of St Kitts and Nevis. Prime Minister Timothy Harris said that might the vaccination campaign is programming slowly, but they were sure that we have finalized to vaccinate our 70% of the population.
The targeted population of 33,037 people of St Kitts and Nevis is supposed to be vaccinated in the coming days to complete the goal of vaccination. The main motive of vaccinating the population is to achieve herd immunity of the people. In this way, the country can move towards a normalized life and boost the economy that it needs.
According to the report, 67.6% of the population listed in that category that has got their 1st dose of vaccine. This shows that 2.4 % of the people of St. Kitts and Nevis have still not got their first dose of the vaccine.
The 35.0% of the population has only fully vaccinated, those were 11,579 people in number.
St. Kitts and Nevis have administered 33,928 doses, out of which Nevis got 7,900 and St Kitts got 26,008 doses of vaccines.
St Kitts and Nevis received 21,600 doses of vaccinations from PAHO and WHO on 7 April.
The vaccination is an essential weapon during this time to fight against the virus mutation of coronavirus. Following safety guidelines given by the government can also be another weapon of safety against the spread of the virus.
St Kitts and Nevis also got help from the government of India as 20,000 doses of vaccine were send to St Kitts and Nevis as help from India.
During this time of the pandemic, all country should unite and put their efforts to overcome this pandemic and again start the businesses like that were before the pandemic and look forward to the new developments plans for the country.
St Kitts and Nevis have reported 350 cases of coronavirus with 2 deaths and out of which 75 recovered updates of 21 June 2021
