Made using fresh pig’s blood, Black Pudding is a popular street food in Saint Lucia. DaMajority (Viral Caribbean), a well-known regional magazine, shared some savouring images on their page.
DaMajority, which has more than 112K followers on Facebook, shared how the Black Pudding, also known as Boudin, is one of the best things that a person can try during their trip to Saint Lucia.
“Black pudding (Boudin) is a popular street food in Saint Lucia. It is made with fresh pig blood and seasoned with green seasonings like chives, peppers, and many other secret ingredients based on the cook. It’s usually accompanied by a shot of rum, whiskey or beer,” wrote DaMajority.
Their images showed the process of how Black Pudding is made on the streets of Saint Lucia.
The photographs showed how first the pig’s blood is collected into a vase and then turned into a type of sausage, which is later cut into pieces for a more savoured experience.

Following DaMajority’s Facebook post, several people shared their images in the comment box and shared their experiences of eating the street delight.
Their post was also liked by Ernest Hilaire – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Saint Lucia.
Some netizens shared their ways of eating Black Pudding and added some exciting new recipes in the comment box. A user said that it goes best with some cold Heineken Beer, while another shared a video of their plate full of the black pudding.

DaMajority’s post about Black Pudding in Saint Lucia received more than 200 likes and over 150 shares on Facebook with hundreds of comments by different people including the diaspora.
Some people said that the post made them feel hungry, and they would love to try it as a first thing after visiting Saint Lucia.
