Dominica: Melissa Skerrit, Dominica’s Parliament Representative from Roseau Central, wished people on the “International Day of Women and Girls in Science.”
Melissa Skerrit- who is also a woman health care worker and scientists at the forefront in the global battle against the coronavirus pandemic.
In a photo assigned on her official social media handles, Parliament Representative wrote, “We acknowledge the participation of “Women Scientists” at the forefront in a fight against COVID-19. These women are not just warriors, but they are the future of our bright world. Happy International Day of Women and Girls in Science.”
She referred to women scientists as healers like mother earth. She noted that “Women scientists are just like “Mother Earth,” the healers, the warriors, and the leaders.”
International Day of Women and Girls in Science is a celebration of women in the fields of science. If we see, our mother earth is the origin and foundation of this beautiful universe. We all are dependent on the mother earth to live and love.
