Saint Lucia: Youth Development & Sports Ministry briefs on Adopt-an-Angle School Feeding Programme

Ministry of Youth Development & Sports recently appealed to the general public to participate in the “Adopt-an-Angle” School Feeding Programme.

Castries, Saint Lucia: The Ministry of Youth Development & Sports recently appealed to the general public to participate in the “Adopt-an-Angle” School Feeding Programme. The programme has been working to provide free education to the young generation of the nation.

As per the ministry, it has been working in collaboration with the Western cluster of Youth Workers. Some of the constituencies, including Soufriere, Canaries & Anse La Raye, will be the prime focus of the ministry for this initiative.

The latest social media post by the ministry, stating about the newly adopted initiative, read, “The Ministry of Youth Development & Sports, through the Western Cluster of Youth Workers, embarked on an “Adopt-an-Angel” School Feeding Programme. This programme will assist in paying lunch fees for a few underprivileged students enrolled at various infant & primary schools enrolled in the districts of Soufriere, Canaries & Anse La Raye.”

Furthermore, it extended thanks towards the authorities who have been working to make this initiative a success. “A big thank you to Ladera Resorts & the Saint Lucia Hotel & Tourism Association for collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Development & Sports in making this initiative possible,” the update stated.

This act by the ministry was lauded by many people as it will provide good education to the young population, building a better and upgraded future for the nation. Some people took the comment section of the social media post and praised this initiative.

A user named Caroline Eugene stated, “Loving the camaraderie. You guys rock,” while the second one, named Imad Eddin Hamcho, commented, “Keep it up.”

The Ministry of Youth Development & Sports of Saint Lucia has always worked for the younger population of the country and has taken various initiatives to make the nation a bright place for them. To engage the kids, the ministry has organised various fun activities on April 10. The activities will include Fun Games, Cotton Candy, Face Painting, Bouncy Castles, Trampoline, etc. Additionally, prizes will be presented to the winners to praise the best player.
