Barbados logs 37 new COVID-19 cases
St Kitts: Ministery of Health released new data of COVID-19 situation in St Kitts and Nevis.Which shows the 68 new active cases of the COVID-19 virus. Till now, no death has been reported in St Kitts and Nevis due to COVID-19.
No new imported COVID-19 case has been reported in St Kitts and Nevis in the last 14 days. Till now, medical teams have tested 16,036 persons for COVID-19, out of which 68 positive results have been reported, and 15,960 reports have resulted in negative, but still 8 tests are pending.
After the test, 697 people are quarantined at their residence, whereas 411 have been quarantined in the facility. 23 people are in isolation. 10,025 have been released from the quarantine. 45 people have recovered.
The health ministry also released the recommendation to prevent the spread of The Novel Corona Virus, in which it says that the virus starts from your hand, so please wash the hands frequently with soap and water or an alcohol-based solution.
Always Cover your nose and mouth with a bent elbow or tissue when you sneeze or cough. Dispose of tissue immediately and wash your hand.
Avoid touching your face, particularly your eyes, nose or mouth, to prevent the virus from entering the body.
In terms of social interaction, take a step back and stay at least one metre or 6 feet from others.
If the person feels unwell, stay home. Please follow all instructions provided by your local health authorities.
On 24 March 2020, a 21-year-old male and a 57-year-old female who had arrived in the federation from New York City became the first two confirmed cases of COVID-19. Both are nationals of St Kitts and Nevis.
