Belize: Ministry of Health to receive second donation of COVID-19 vaccines

Ministry of Health and Wellness to receive a second donation of COVID-19 vaccines. A shipment of 25,000 COVID-19 vaccines is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, March 8, 2021, at the Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport.

Belize: Ministry of Health and Wellness to receive a second donation of COVID-19 vaccines. A shipment of 25,000 COVID-19 vaccines is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, March 8, 2021, at the Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport.

The vaccines are a donation made possible by the people and the Government of India.

Hon. Michel Chebat, the Minister of Health-Wellness, along with representatives of the Ministry and members of the Indian community of Belize, will be on hand to receive the donation.

The COVID-19 Vaccination Exercise will continue this week with the remaining frontline health workers. The public is encouraged to get vaccinated when the opportunity arises. Please take note of the vaccination locations and phases of the rollout.

The Ministry reminds the public that even after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, persons are to continue to follow the COVID-19 guidelines: wear masks properly in public, maintain social distancing and wash and sanitize hands often. The government of Belize

Talking about the COVID-19 update, Data for March 5, 2021, 6 New Confirmed Cases, 10 New Recoveries, and 1 New Death Reported.

India is distributing vaccines under the Vaccine Maitri program and also distribute 175000 vaccines to five Caribbean nations through the OECS organization. India wants to maintain vaccine equity all over the world. WHO is working hard to distribute the vaccine to inoculate every being.

These vaccines are produced by the scientists of the Serum Institute of India, which holds the potential to immunized 50% of the world’s people. Besides, it is the largest biotechnological company in the world. 

The Ministry of Health-Wellness advises the public to wear a face mask properly in public, maintain constant physical distancing, avoid social gatherings, and wash and sanitize hands frequently.
