Grenada: GAA, CARIFTA local organising committee invite public to create logo for 2024 Games

Grenada Athletic Association and the CARIFTA local organising committee have invited the general public to create a logo for the games.

St George’s, Grenada: Grenada has won the bid to host the CARIFTA Games 2024, which will be hosted from March 30 to April 1, 2024. Working on this, recently, the Grenada Athletic Association and the CARIFTA local organising committee have invited the general public to create a logo for the games.

The authorities have asked the public to design and create a logo that is creative, impactful and eye-catching. It should also depict the importance and significance of the 2024 CARIFTA Games in Grenada.

The Grenada Athletic Association and CARIFTA local organising committee have also informed the general public about some of the descriptions which must be followed while designing the logo.

The description proposed by the organising authorities is the following:

Rules:

  • The design of the logo must be original and self-made.
  • The logo must consist of a combination of vibrant colours depicting Grenada and the Grenadian symbol. It should also have some element symbolising sports.
  • It must have copyrighted content, neither material nor images. The logo should not also have licensed images, which have already been published.

  • During the time of submission, the logo must be presented with a short description elaborating the idea behind the logo.

Prize:

While emphasising the prize to be given to the winner, who will be announced at the launch of the 2024 CARIFTA Games, the authorities noted that the winner will be rewarded with a cash reward of $1000 and complimentary tickets to the CARIFTA Games.

Contest Details:

  • An individual can submit more than one entry.
  • After the submission of the logo, the design will automatically start belonging to the GAA. The Grenada Athletics Authority will have the right to publish and feature the designed logo as deemed necessary.
  • The selected logo will be commissioned by Grenada CARIFTA local organising committee and can be modified, edited or altered as per the needs and demands. The logo can be used on billboards, t-shirts, games memorabilia, promotional material, advertising campaigns and/or marketing materials from the local committee.

Deadline:

The logo can be submitted by June 30, 2023 midnight.
