Dominica: As the Queen celebrates 70 years on the throne, those who have performed alongside her, from serving and former Prime Ministers to palace attendants and charity chiefs, have hailed her for huge contribution to society.

The event was hosted to celebrate this milestone and many personalities attended the event. The event was also attended by the Commonwealth of Secretary – Patricia Scotland.

After attending the event, Patricia Scotland took social media and tweeted, “I was delighted to attend the #PlatinumJubilee Beacons celebration reception last night at Coutts Bank, as over 3,000 beacons were lit across the United Kingdom and the #Commonwealth to celebrate HM The Queen’s 70 years of service.”

Patricia Scotland is a Commonwealth Secretary-General; her majesty represents all the qualities for which she is praised and applauded by many, her faith, her service, and her sense of duty.

She said that from our first conference more than 30 years ago, when she became a Queen’s Counsel, to the recent day, throughout every relation, she has been hit by her active commitment to the causes she dedicates herself to, her keen curiosity, and her knowledge.

For the Commonwealth of Dominica, she always tried to present the best values of her belief, inverting the role of leader to be a true and faithful servant of our family of nations; she is always interested and engaged in the fortunes of Commonwealth countries and the Commonwealth Secretariat.

Boris Johnson, President of the United Kingdom, also tweeted:

The prime minister preached at St Paul’s Cathedral to attend a service honouring the Queen’s 70 years on the throne. He met with a “substantial amount” of jeers and boos from the crowd.

When he congratulated her Majesty The Queen on her remarkable Platinum Jubilee, the whole country, Commonwealth and world thanked them for unwavering duty and service. Vivat Regina Elizabetha! God Save The Queen!”

Johnson and his wife Carrie were met with boos and jeer from the large crowd of royal fans waiting outside the cathedral.

Some people clapped and cheered his arrival.

Boris Johnson also apologised multiple times after his staff held a series of rule-breaking parties during national COVID-19 lockdowns. He received a police fine for attending one event himself.
