A family of three was killed in the community of Tryall Heights in Spanish Town, St Catherine, on Sunday.

The shooters killed the family in their house at about 4:30 pm and killed them brutally.

The shooters entered the home of 81-year-old Iciline McFarlane and reportedly made her kneel and shot her dead.

After the shooters killed the senior citizen, they killed 10-year-old Christina McFarlane and then went on to kill six-year-old Mishane.

Reports say that both the girls attended Spanish Town Primary School.

The father of the children said to see how the shooters came and killed his daughters, and he does not understand what to do.

The grandmother of the children was affectionately called Miss Icey, and the children lived with her.

On the other hand, a man was shot dead at his gate, and two women were shot at and wounded during a drive-by incident on Fitzgerald Avenue in Whitfield Town in the St Andrew South Police Division on Sunday at around 7 pm.

Residents said that the shooters fired around 30 rounds and the bystanders ran for cover.

Nicholas Thompson, who was otherwise called ‘Sterro’ or ‘Choops’ lost his life in this shooting incident.

The women injured in the incident are aged 20 and 33 and were receiving treatment at the Kingston Public Hospital last night.

Reports say that a grey Toyota Axio which had four men in it drove up to the scene and opened fire.

A resident said that when the car approached, all four doors opened, and four men with automatic guns came out of the grey Toyota Axio and started firing.

The resident added that the people got flat on the ground, and some ran for cover. A lady with her baby was shot, and her baby fell.

It is noteworthy that murders have fallen by 15 per cent in St Andrew South in 2020.
