Roseau, Dominica: High Commission of Dominica in London extended the heartiest congratulations to esteemed cyclists of Dominica – Ajaniah Casimir for completing 1st place competing in the Biarritz southern France, Durango course.
The cyclist has always made the nation proud, and this time, the athlete secured first position among forty (40) cyclists. “Ajaniah Casimir finished 1st place competing in the Biarritz southern France, Durango course. There were forty cyclists, and the race was 63 kilometres,” the update informed.
Accordingly, the next race is on Saturday, which is the DAX.
Dominica has always done all possible for its national cyclist. Earlier, Dominican National Cyclist Ajaniah Casimir received an extended scholarship from L’Express Des Iles. The scholarship was presented to the player at the start of April month at the Whitchurch board room.
The scholarship given to Casimir paid for tickets to compete in the upcoming races in the neighbouring nations – Martinique and Guadeloupe.
In the two-stage race in Guadeloupe, Casimir won the time trial and then finished the first road race, finishing more than three minutes clear of second place. After such active participation, the Caribbean Cycling Union took its official Facebook account and praised the player while mentioning that the future of cycling is in safe hands – until Ajaniah Casimir presents the nation.
The Caribbean Cycling Union mentioned, “The future looks undoubtedly promising for Ajaniah Casimir, Dominica Cycling and Caribbean Cycling.” Glimpses of the prize-giving ceremony held in Guadeloupe following the victory of Casimir were also shared by the union through social media.
As per the update, he will be representing Dominica in Venezuela and has been regarded as one of the prominent cyclists as he has won various cycle competitions for the nation.
